The rap and political activism: case studies in Angola, Brazil and Portugal

Carlos Guerra Júnior, associate researcher at Bloco 4 Foundation, spoke in Maputo about RAP and political activism.

In the event, on the one hand, based on case studies done in Angola, Brazil and Portugal, Carlos sought to reflect on the relationship of conflict in three countries between the hegemonic system and the forms of resistance, focusing on social intervention rap.

On the other hand, it sought to understand how rappers interact with the media, since most of the social intervention rappers are critical of the great media and often refuse to participate in television programs.
